I think if you talk to some 2600 owners, they'll tell you the 2600 is more
of a boulevard or freeway (Autostrada) car. It's not the kind of car you
toss about on mountain roads, according to one owner I talked to. In
comparison, the Giulia Spider would be immensely more fun. 2600 parts are
way up there on the unobtanium scale. A nice example would likely cost you
a lot more than $10K, as they tend to be show cars. A car in need of
restoration will be a major challenge. You could probably get into a decent
driveable Giulia Spider for $10k, but a pristine one will cost more.

OTOH, there are sometimes bargains. Rube Erickson sold his 2600 recently
for around $11K. It was a nice one, too. There was another 2600 advertised
at $22.5K, which is probably more typical for show cars.

As for comparisons, the 1600 revs nicely, the car is light, can be made
quite reliable and handles nicely. The 2600 is a much heavier car, it has
a triple Solex carburetor setup, and parts are almost non-existant. My
money would be on the 1600. BTW, I own a 62 Giulietta Spider with a 1600 
in it. It's tons of fun.
