Re: Virus and a question

This is the 3rd time I've heard of this...according to one of the most
reputable sources in the industry, this 'virus' is a hoax.

Read about it at:

On a more Alfa-esque subject, I'm faced with a quandary regarding oil
pressure on my GTV6. The oil pressure gauge has been reading
progressively lower and lower regardless of the level. Anyone have any
opinions as to failures on the sender unit? I'm hoping that's the
culprit because the alternative is no fun.

The car is showing none of the signs that my Spider and non-Alfas have
when they got tired: the valvetrain is no noisier than usual and the
temperature is not elevating. Prior to a rebuild which included oil
pump, my Spider's engine made more valve clacking noises after sitting
at idle or when really heated up and the pressure read low. And it's
always been my understanding that Alfas of all models utilized the oil
flow for cooling to a greater extent than most other makes -- the
Spider has, what, an 8 qt. sump? And the GTV6 takes about 7.

This question is a bit premature as I've yet to jiggle and clean the
under-hood sender connections. I'll do this tomorrow at lunch hour.
But insights would be beneficial.

give her up for weeks!!!)
