Re: alfa-digest V7 #679 RE Cold start solenoid stuff



Bob Brooks wants to know how to adjust the cold start solenoid.  Easy as
pie!  With engine warm to op temp, pull the wire off of the solenoid and in
its place energize the solenoid with 12 volts momentarilly.  If the engine
quits instantly it is set too rich.  Loosen the 24mm locknut and turn the
solenoid clockwise to lean it out.  Turn only enough to allow the engine to
slow down not more than 100rpm each time you energize, then lock it there.  
If, of course, when you test, the engine does not slow down, it is too lean.
