Funny I only have 2 81's <GTV6>
one registered in 11/81
ZAR 116C00 - 03001083
and one registered 12/81
ZAR 116C00 - 03001230
and a 86
ZAR 116C00 - 03003802 (well, infamous car that can't have plugs fited
without a special socket)........

All RHD.......
Unknown build date..... but it seems that one should be earlier and the
others later cars than yours....
It seems that our "murrican" friends had a bad habit of messing with the
car numbers..... mine are original put by Alfa on the firewall on the RH
side about 10 inches or 25 cm from the top of the firewall....
Can send pics to any one interrested in taking a look.

BTW, faxed number to Centro Storico Alfa Romeo and all came out with
the  right colous, type, RHD, etc! I was only so dumb that I forgot to
ask for building date......
