Re: Milano wheel bearing noise

Damien,
You only sort of blew it , the wheel bearings quiet down when they are
more loaded so the wheel on the outside is the culprit. This seems
counter intuitive to me but it has been proved empirically time and time.
Just to be sure, jack up the rear start engine put in gear raise speed
to 30-40mph and listen to the bearings a long screw driver can be used as
a stethoscope. the noisier one is bad. replace it soon or the inner
races of the bearing can seize on the hub and chew it up requiring the
hub to be replaced also, a nasty little consequence of procrastinating.
