It is not another "Guys Only" club. It is, however, a largely male digest.
This being indicative of the cultural sterotypes that cars and males go
together while cars and females do not. There was a thread a few weeks/months
ago in the AD discussing the male/female upbringing and how males are more
often allowed/steered/directed toward cars than females. Pity, really, that
this appears to be true.
The AD does sport a few females -- Tess of NWARC fame (haven't seen you for a
while, still busy?) and April to name just two. Apologies to the others I
have not mentioned.
Welcome, Beth, to the AD. May you stay with us for a long time and both
contribute to and benefit from the digest.
Sorrow and sadness over the collision (I have a personal bias against calling
these event "accidents" -- there's nothing "accidental" about them). Mr
Akins, of VA locale, may be able to offer some insights into dealing with
insurance companies, he has in the past. Others here have had similar
discussions with insurance companies, perhaps a recap for the AD or private
offerings would help.
ciao

reading)
