164 heating issues

As covered before, if a 164 series is running hot, you have a
mechanical  fault. These cars run happily in the 98 degree high humidity
here in Florida, so diagnose and repair.

Mine runs at the center mark in town, between (175 and 250}.

If your 164 overheats in traffic suddenly, check the 40 amp fuse next to
the coolant bottle. it corrodes here in the salt air and blows every 5
years or so... :o) I t runs the fan. You may also want to bypass the
resistor, and go full on with the fan to move more air. It is a good
design and usually trouble free.
