E-mail and international deliveries

Well, I started this, so I'll keep asking questions and try to improve
things.

Perhaps my wording suggested that I don't like e-mail inquiries. Not
true, I like any inquiry that gets business. BUT, I do naturally respond
faster to a phone call or a mail that suggests more than shopping.

I have received some mail lately that is much more specific as to the
needs of the customer. ie: "I want to order..."

I try to put prices on the webpage to save time for folks who want to
know how much something is, ie: wires, bushings... Alfa's whole
inventory is not realistic to post.

Overseas customers are tougher, because the shipping can make your head
spin. Example, $40 in parts, $96 to ship it. I can use mail and do it
cheaply, but have no way to track a package if it disappears. Certain
countries have less than premium reputations for their mail delivery
performance...

If anyone has a recommendation for a way to get goods overseas, cheaply,
I'm all ears. Some of the folks in other countries are getting slammed
on prices for Alfa parts. If I could help, I'd love to. I'm talking
small parcels, not containers.
