Ignition switch defunct? GTV-6

A net-impared friend has a 85 GTv-6 that suddenly has a dead ingintion sw=
itch.
 When he turns the key...nothing.  No door buzzer, no gauages, no startin=
g
etc.  Bad contacts?  Fixable?  How?
