FrankenSpider almost done, problem with ignition?

The finishing touches on my resurrected Spider project are in progress. 
Engine's all together, running, and sounding great. The shop is working 
on the initial run-in and tune up for emissions now.

A glitch has appeared. Seems that cylinder #3 ignition will just cut out 
and stop firing. Injectors are working fine, a probe demonstrated that 
the ignition just stopped. Drop the engine back to idle, it fires again 
and goes for a little while before cutting out again. 

The mechanic is running tests on the '82 ignition system now, looking for 
bad grounds or wires, corrosion damage, etc. Anyone else had this happen 
before and found the cause?
