Re problems with 164S

Brake lights

I know this will sound strange but the cause is always the same
Your brake light switch is adjusted too fine. The warning system control
unit interprets a rapid on/off/on/off as a fault and displays the two brake
warning lights.

All you need do is adjust the switch a little closer to the brake pedal. You
should hear a nice positive click as the pedal comes up. If you adjust it
too close the pedal hits the outside of switch and rests on that. You need
to have it so you get that nice click but it must only touch the plunger.
