My Apologies...but

Ok, so my last message seems to have stirred things up a bit...but it sufficed
to serve my purpose. I drew lots of fire from the checkbook mechanics that I
was too poor to own and appreciate an alfa but I also drew out those true
enthustiasts who turn thier own wrenches, know what life on a budget is like
and know that you can enjoy a car without making 50 thou a year. In fact I
think we enjoy them more :) My many thanks to all of you who responded with
actual advice and help. I hope to have this car up and running perfectly
soon. The mechanical and cosmetic restorations should be finished by the end
of July. For everone who suggested I should sell the car to someone who could
afford and appreciate it....Im open to offers, unfortunately I have no
feelings one way or another about the car I hate to say. I will not butcher
it as I had suggested in my previous post but and I will treat it with the
respect it deserves. But it lacks anything to give me a particular passion
about it. I like unusual cars, this one is different but not exactly
outstanding. Around here you can find Spiders on the road at any given time
during the warm months. The acceleration is respectable, but considering I am
still "grassroots" enough to play with american muscle cars I cant say Im
taken aback by it. The handling is fun, by far not the best I have
experienced but better than most. Overall now would be the time to talk to me
if you are interested in the car, I havent developed any feelings for it. In
time I am sure I will, since all the folks I have talked to here, reasonable
or unreasonable do have a passion for their cars. As said, I like the car,
but part of the experience of joy of ownership is a feeling of comeraderie
with fellow owners, even before my little rant in the last digest I was met
with attitudes which seriously dampened my joy of ownership. I do apreciate
those of you who have been helpful. I regret those of you who havent..you
spoil the entire automotive enthusiast genre with your attitudes.
