Alternative for GTV-6 rain gutter?

My '84 GTV6 has one rain gutter which is damaged and unsightly.  It must
have been removed and replaced for some reason.  I have not had any luck
finding a replacement rain gutter.  Can they just be removed?  Or would that
be more unsightly.
