How to fit Lada stuff to a spider

The easy way to make the spider more suitable for a Canadian winter is
to take the body and rear wheel drive stuff off, along with the wiring,
cooling system etc. Then put the brakes to one side as these will be
replaced as you will be installing 4x4 stuff on it.
To remantle (opposite of dismantle?) the car you start with the running
gear 4x4 stuff from the Lada. Put the Lada body on top to get it all to
line up and then install the 4x4 brake pipes. The Lada master cylinder
assembly fits best, in fact all the interior of the Lada can be re-used.
Install the cooling system from the Lada engine which should mate to the
engine and body with a minimum of fuss.
Next step is to mail all your left over bits to England (e-mail me off
digest and I'll give you the details) to prevent clutter in your garage.
You get the benifits of 4x4, hard top, heater, in fact if you do it
correctly, no-one will know it didn't come from the factory like that.
