auto spider questions

Hi Richard,
Check the blue book at your local library to see what to deduct for an auto.
However, being an American publication, they may say that auto adds to the
value, without taking into account that this is a sports car.
As far as switching the transmission out, it's probably easier and cheaper
to find a '91 spider with 5-spd. than to switch. Also, something is telling
me that the center console is different on the auto spider (the shift lever
is on the lower part, rather than on the bit that's angled upwards), and
that therefore the hole in the transmission tunnel might be in a different
place. 
However, I have no real experience with this, so it's all just speculation.
