spider fan fuse

I need to replace the cooling fan fuse on my 87 spider.  This is the one
mounted on the driver side fender under the hood.  The blown fuse was 30
amps and I just wanted to confirm this was correct. I replaced it with a
20 amp fuse I had and it has not blown yet, so is 30 amps to large?
