RE: funky noise on spider

Rob,
I 've exactly the same strange noise in my '89 FB-Spider. I can't =
resolve
it, either. It has been started after I changed the clutch. Noise =
appears
only when slighty lift off throttle and increases when engine/gearbox
getting warm, hardly by cold engine. It sounds like "grinding" bearings =
in
normal speed. Above 120 km/h it ch=E1nges to a more "knocking" noise. =
The
problem is, that it's very hard to find the position where the noise =
comes
from. My assumption was worn gearbox bearings, but last weekend, when I
changed engine oil and lifted the car, I noticed a "grinding" noise in =
the
oil sump - maybe the oil pump??
Any help is really welcome!
