Ripping apart Alfa's

Hello all,

I am just trying to accumulate some fun snippet's regarding previous owners
misdeeds with the alfa they owned, which you now are in proud possession of.
When I was a proud MGB (72) owner, I was able to accumulate some stories about
what PO's had done to their cars. For example, one new MGB owner found that
the PO had used residential wire to rewire the MGB even using the yellow twist
on wire fasteners. Another owner found that his floor pans had been patched
with cardboard. On one rainy pacific northwest day found his lower legs
becoming very wet....and still another actually bought an MGB with avocado
shag carpet glued to the dash, seats, rear deck, boot etc....

I looked at countless MG's, and Porsches that needed "minor" items to
complete. Most often, these were projects that were so destroyed by complete
imbeciles that the cars were better off being put out of their misery. I saw
datsun motors crammed into MG's, I even saw a Porsche 911 that one delirious
owner crammed, get this, a CHEVY 350 into...he said it sounded "bitchin".
Over the phone, neither owner fessed up to having improper drivetrains, even
after I had asked...I know that stories like these border on "dark humor" but
still are enjoyable to read, if only for the feeling of, "Oh my God..."

I am hoping to put together a feature on such horrific acts in our newsletter.
Thanks in advance. You can either email me directly or post them on the digest
for others to read for their comedic enjoyment.

Thanks everyone,
Todd
