Steering wheel screech

Taylor,

In my past, I have found that the horn contact brush was dragging along a dry
contact ring and making that noise like Mrs. Grundy writing on the chalkboard
in first grade.

I usually remove the steering wheel, clean the petrified grease off, and
regrease with Kupfer Paste (a german antiseize/lubricant using copper instead
of aluminum --
Wurth also distributes a copper paste lubricant that works).

Make sure that the graphite "brush," which is really a spring-loaded rod (like
the one in the center of most older distributor caps), moves freely up and
down in its holder.

Don't get the copper paste on your clothes...

Bill
