Re: De ol' debble Spica vs Weber debate springs back to life

*******************
Janice & Steve Ashby write:

(quoting 4/73 R & T) The 2-liter models sold here use a
mechanical fuel-injection system made by Spica, an Alfa subsidiary,
whereas
the 2-liters sold elsewhere come only with carburetors...

...This is one of the rare cases in which the U.S. version of the engine
is
probably more desirable than the home version.

(end quote)

Thought a contemporaneous opinion would be interesting to the debate.

You didn't mean by any chance to actually say "contemptuous debate", did
you?

Let's be democratic here: Everyone who has been stopped dead in their
tracks who had Webers (or Dellortos, or Solexes) raise your hand.
Everyone who has been stopped dead in their tracks who had Spica, raise
your hand. Fred, you count the Weber, etc. hands while I count the Spica
hands. Bet you finish first.
