Re: window cables

I want to thank all the people who sent me tips on replacing my broken
window cable. Your info sure made things easier. I ended up making my own
parts instead of buying the factory pieces. Total cost ~$2. + a couple of
hours of work figuring out how to route the cables and how long they should
be.

For your future reference the cable is slightly larger than 1/16" diameter
(prob. metric), and needs to be 7' 3 3/4" in length. The ends of the cable
are secured to the winder spool with swages (cable stops). For routing,
look at the other door if its cable is still intact. I will try to write up
some kind of procedure and post it to a web page in the next couple of days.
