Subject: HELP! Car died, won't restart... (74 GTV)

One dumb suggestion with regards to this occurrence is that maybe the
Spica pump belt snapped.  Happened with my brothers 74'Spyder the first
time we got it fired up and went for the obligatory run around the
block.  Wound out 1st gear went to upshift into 2nd, cough,  no more
running engine. DOH!  Broken belt replaced and fired up right away.
