Does anyone know an easy way to determine a wheel's composition. I have a
set of aftermarket Turbina style wheels, they are 14x5.5 and weigh ~10.5lbs
according to the bathroom scale. The reason I want to know is because I am
having them stripped and want to polish them, but I seem to remember
hearing somewhere that magnesium wheels have to be painted. Is that
correct? Any other tips on refinishing?
