up in smoke

Today as I was driving on my wonderfully boring commute, I was flipping
through the stations on the radio,  as I found, there was nothing on FM,
so I switched to AM, I went to a AM station I knew of (600 san diego)
and I did not here anything,  then about 15 minutes latter I smell that
awful smell of electronics burning, next thing I knew is that there was
smoke coming out of my cassette hole!,  Has this happened to any one
else?, or is this the punishment for asking why my car dose not have a
cup holder?.  The radio still works, but now my car smells like ass, If
my day goes to plan possibly my computer will catch on fire.
