All I usually take with me is enough stuff to fix things that I would be
too embarrassed to ask for help with. My CAA card and a hand held radio
telephone is my first line of defence. I used to carry a fair bit of stuff,
not alot by Bill Gillam's standard, but the thought of fixing something on
the side of the road that was bad enough to get me to stop in the first
place is not a happy one. I would rather be carrying the part so the guy at
the garage where the tow truck drops me can get at it. With that thought I
always carry a water pump in every alfa and now I might get a second
cardisc to leave in the milano. I wonder how many people have tried to use
there alfa supplied jack, I did once on our 77 spider then went and got a
small bottle jack to replace it.
