I currently have "several" berlinas, and have restored 2 as "ground up".
They are great 105s, and superior to the spider or GTV as a driver.   All
the speed equipment will fit, and the long wheelbase makes for a better
handling sports car.  Use the Shankle/Ricambie springs with Koni shocks and 
14x 6 wheels with 195/65-14 tires.   Install and tune a 2000 engine to the
desired level of performance, and you will be blowing off BMWs with room
for the dog and/or kids, or for pulling the fishing boat.
