GTV6 &newer vs. GTV2000 & older

I get the impression from the digest that the "newer" cars are generally more 
troublesome to go with their increased complexity/sophistication. Is this an
accurate statement?
(Poised to decide between 74 Berlina,74-75 gtv2000,70 gtjr.,84gtv6, mostly road
use, some track time,possibly vintage w. older models. Any helpful insights?)
