gtwe6 heater control valves

hi all,

anyone come up w/a fix for the leaking straight-inlet heater control valves for
the gtwe6's, that alfa romeo is sending to dealers & vendors - insisting that
they don't leak?  i'm supposed to get one from iap today - they warned me it'll
probably leak, so i wanna bastardize it before i install it.
