Brian has hit it right on the head.  Decide if top end and easy , long legged
cruising are more important than brisker accelleration  (not an
earthshatteriing difference, but noticeable and constant).  my verde does 80
@~ 3,000 rpm, 100 @~ 4,000.  Depends on where and how you are planning to
drive. 
The Verde also has limited slip, the only 2.5 version with LSD is the platinum
box.
