85 Spider Rear Axle Removal

I just purchased my first Alfa, an 85 Spider, and am extremely happy
except for a grinding noise coming from the rear axle. I drained and
check the gearbox, seems ok, no particles. I want to pull the axle but
don't have a maintenance manual yet. Can anyone explain the procedure?
