If you are going to spend the money for factory S cams, take a look at Sperry's HP-1
cams.  They are just slightly hotter than the S cams, less expensive, and very
drivable.   Another benefit is that they are "hard welded."  That is, they are used,
reground cams that have been ground down, built back up by welding very hard metal
to the lobe surfaces, then ground to spec.  In theory, they should last much longer
than factory cams as the wear surfaces are much harder than the stock cams (which
tend to wear).

I just put them in my hot 3.0 engine would recommend them to anyone.  Plenty of
torque throughout the RPM range, and only a slightly rough idle.
