leaded gas

In the early sixties, Amoco had a "Super Premium", something like 95 or 98
octane, unleaded.  Alfisti with this available used it.  It was felt that,
with the low angle of the grind on the valves, "recession", if any, was
less a problem than chunks of leaded deposits flaking-off and buggering
the faces.
