That is one of the reasons that the head bolts should be torqued and/or
checked ever 3 to 4 times over a year.  The engine expands and contracts at
different rates and over time loosens.  Do a visual and check to see if a
serious problem exists.  Often, these problems are minor and can be corrected
with just some routine adjustment.

For the record I own a 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce that DOES NOT leak any
oil.
