If all you do is wrap the pipe near the rear caliper, there isn't
much downside. The classic tradeoff for wrapping headers is possibly
shortening their life expectancy. The higher temps underneath the
wrap can cause headers to crack from the wider temperature range
they encounter. I don't know whether this happens on a Verde.
