hi bruce,
sounds like your clutch is going away - you can czech it for sure by trying to
do a drag-type launch in, say, 4th gear - if the clutch is good, then you'll
stall out, if clutch is gone, then you'll get some decent revs outta it.
ok, fiat time:
had the opportunity to drive an '81 124 spider for the 1st time the other day -
always admired the shape of these cars. anyways, the brakes sucked! i asked
the mechanic/owner about it, and he said, basically, "yup, they do." this guy's
been a fiat/alfa mechanic for 25 years, and sez that fiat brakes are lousy, that
the car i drove has nothing specifically wrong w/its brakes. opinions?
suggestions for upgrades?
