Clutch going on Milano?

My daily driver 87 Milano with 122000 miles is starting to do something that
I assume means clutch replacement time...though I would bounce it off the
group. When shifting car gives no problems except 2nd when cold (standard
problem. I am starting to notice when at speed...say 55 in 5th and I
accelerate i feel the engine winding up but the car does not then catches
and starts to speed up. Under normal driving its hardly noticable. Clutch
time or is there some adjustment I could make?
