Actually, it IS possible, with special motor mounts. I believe Tom Zat
makes motor mounts for putting a 1600, 1750, or even a 2000 into a
Giulietta Spider with the original hood. You can do it by modifying
the original motor mounts, but it's not fun. You also need spacers
between the tranny support and the frame rails to even things up.
