SUVs, Coke, and Alfas

i had to chime in, being a self-confessed SUV-hater...
a funny page on SUVs is here:

check out the upcoming Kenworth SUV, too:

SUVs are like Viagra around here....However, the top excuses for purchasing
SUVs in California are no longer valid:
1. 4WD for that ski trip once a year and to project that rugged look (the
lemming has no personality, so the car has to provide/project it) - you now
have to have chains, even with 4wd for going to Tahoe
2. "I want to sit up high" for that false sense of security...Now, it does
no good, as there is an even bigger SUV in front of you.

Being hit by one of those in my Spider would involve their bumper and my eye
level, so I am concerned, but not to the point of legislating out the
choice. The next fuel crisis is coming, though. And i should be able to get
out of trouble in the Alfa, particualrly if the SUV driver is playing with
the GPS system, feeding designer foods baby, working on laptop, cooking
dinner, or placing market orders on the cell phone, hopefully selling shares
of Coke, the bastards...
Where is my special jacket, anyway?
