Of course, SPICA injection was used much earlier on the Montreal, GTAm, GTA
1300 Junior, and some 33 race cars (not the Alfasud variant).  The GTAm was
homologated based on the US-model GTV, so in contrast to the GTA, there was
no need to produce an injected GTAm "Stradale".  

The above does suggest that economics dictated the continued use of carbs
on non-US model street cars into the 80s, as it did with other components
designed in the '50s and '60s.
