Oily V6 Air Filter Housing

What was a nice clean (recently repainted) air filter housing is now partly
covered in an oily film. The oil seems to be coming from somewhere near the
air flow meter. I seem to remember reading about similar experiences ( on
GTV6's?) in the digest some time ago but can't find anything listed in the
FAQ's.

Can anyone suggest how I might sort this one or point me to the relevant
articles?

Looking for that clean and shiny engine bay........
