Interesting... you have explained the origin of the clock in my 1750 
GTV! It is exactly as you describe: Veglia with Alfa logo, angled 
bezel (just like the fuel/water temp guages in the 1750) and mounted 
on the centre console, below the gear lever. It even doesn't work 
like yours didn't :-) I knew it wasn't original but didn't know where 
it had come from originally.
