Someone asked how leaving the brakes applied overnight could cure a soft
pedal.  I've not seen any replies, and I don't know the answer, but here's
a guess.

The soft pedal is caused by small air bubbles trapped in the fluid allowing
some compression.  By holding the brake pedal on for an extended period,
the gas is forced to dissolve in the brake fluid, solving the problem.
Once dissolved, the air is then free to migrate back out of the system by
diffusion and circulation.  Problem cured.

Alternatively, bearing in mind that the original source of the tip was a
Lucas mechanic, it's the work of the devil, and we've all sold our souls
hahahahaha....
