This ill-advised public dirty laundry washing illustrates WHY the
national club (AROC) is considered by many to be so out of touch with
the members and the local chapters! Your contention that Richard has
somehow "snubbed" the efforts of the national club by not responding to
your piteous entreaties is absurd! This is a "forum for discussion of
Alfa Romeos, etc.", not another gateway for a Texas Hill Country
webmaster tycoon...Your decision to publicly air such a misguided agenda
is further indication of an extraordinary lack of good judgement and, at
best, a cogent indication of how insulated the BoD of the national club
is from the rank and file membership. It is not for the BoD to "bless"
Richard with the ability to place their banner ad, it is for Richard to
decide and Richard alone. Your blatent appeal casts Richard
(incorrectly) as the villain, and for that, you and the BoD of AROC owe
Richard and the list an apology forthwith! Disgustedly, a fifteen year
member of AROC (and a member of the BoD of our 125 member chapter Mid
