12 quarts???? As in ~12 litres of oil?????? Are you sure?

A 2.5L V6 takes "only" 7 litres.

My brother-in-law nearly had kittens when he found this out - he was
used to his 1600 beetle, which only takes 2.

Which reminds me, why do the specs always specify the sump capacity (and
other volumes of lubricant) by weight?
