02 Sensors

02 sensors have one, three or four wires. Look for the one wire that is =
a different color than the others - this is the signal wire. Hook your =
DVOM up to this wire. The other wires of the same color/s are the power =
and ground for the heater/s. Look for voltage fluctuating between 0V and =
0.9V. It should fluctuate from 0 to 0.5 volts for one condition (rich or =
lean, I forget) and 0.5 to 0.9 volts for the opposite condition. If you =
can't obtain these levels from you 02 sensor it is bad and must be =
replaced. Bad 02 sensors can affect the way a motor runs.
