GTB6 Speedo Query

My trusty '83 GTB6 is finally back on the road after a two year rest but
with an intermittant speedo.  Simes it works, simes it don't.
Anyone out there with a similar problem and a solution?
I have an owner's manual with an utility services (diagram B) eye chart
but have no idea where the  #75 electronic speedometer pulse generator
resides.
