Breaking Camshafts (was Re: Breaking Steel Wheels)

I've done it in an Alfa motor (2L 4cyl). Snapped clean off at the nose, just
behind the sprocket on the exhaust cam. Will get around to posting some pics
of it one day. Luckily it only went at about 4000rpm so the pistons and
valves were okay. The head needed replacing though......
And yes, lots of dollar signs went floating out the window never to be seen
again (the engine is still running strong now though).
