Alfetta doors, locks

I do not believe the model of Alfetta identical to the GTV6 was imported
to the US.

Fitting a cylinder to a key is deceptively simple to describe -- it's
doing it which is trickey. Just insert a fitting key, unlock, remove the
keeper and withdraw the cylinder with key inserted. In a conventional
(Alfetta) lock, you will then see the several slots containing the
tumblers. Withdraw the key, catching the spring-loaded tumblers and tiny
springs. If you have a tumbler from a broken lock, the key to which you
are matching, simply interchange the cylinders. Otherwise, try the
tumblers one at a time in the slots with the new key, keeping those which
go flush on both sides. Continue until you are out of slots, or of
tumblers which will work with the new key. You may end-up with only a few
which work -- but no big deal -- people stealing cars do not pick the
locks anyway.

The concept with a GTV6 lock is the same -- but it is a much more complex
lock, and a bear to deal with all the tumblers (two pieces each).
