Whether bearings are packed by hand or with a bearing packer, the object
is to force grease thru the cage and rollers and on all surfaces of the
bearing to displace all of the air. If you don't want to get your hands
all greasy, you can put the bearing into a plastic bag ("baggie") with
a good quantity of grease and work the grease into the bearing
in the bag. =
