To Phil Gigante;  Change the trans-axle lub to synthetic and your car will
shift like Summertime.  At the bottom of the gear shift lever the bolt and
bushings may be worn badly so the factory replacement parts will fix that
problem.  
As for the 164S for sale up there, don't buy it if you can't have it in
perfect condition.  Be sure an authorized Alfa service provider examines it
before you lay out any cash.  Too, Always replace parts with OEM stuff!
